Our afternoon was a visit to Lexington Street and the myriad of shops and unique people. Maddie's people.
There were stores with unique and interesting items in them - things that people made or is old and unique:

and RECORD STORES! Maddie was in heaven:
And this record store had a dead body in the ceiling:
Gotta love record stores!
And there were fun stores with fun stuff in them:
And stores that had magazines such as: the Laurel of Asheville, Arts & Culture, Local Food Guide (100 pages), Inner Change - Living in Purpose, Western North Carolina Woman, and Breathe - inspiring active women.
and well, what can i say? They designate areas for graffiti artists to use, yes, instead of arresting them, they allow them to do it in places that bring life to the area:
