Our afternoon was a visit to Lexington Street and the myriad of shops and unique people. Maddie's people.
There were stores with unique and interesting items in them - things that people made or is old and unique:

and RECORD STORES!  Maddie was in heaven:

And this record store had a dead body in the ceiling:

Gotta love record stores!

And there were fun stores with fun stuff in them:
And stores that had magazines such as: the Laurel of Asheville, Arts & Culture, Local Food Guide (100 pages), Inner Change - Living in Purpose, Western North Carolina Woman, and Breathe - inspiring active women.
and well, what can i say?  They designate areas for graffiti artists to use, yes, instead of arresting them, they allow them to do it in places that bring life to the area:
Maddie's first album cover - too bad we didn't carry a guitar with us.

and alley ways with cool stuff in them:
and funny posted stuff:
and costume shops with lots of shoes:
notice the beanie on Mad's head
Then in the evening, we went out to Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company.  They have a play room area that has some games and plays on the big screen the Boomerang channel.
yes, that's Bill Bixby on the screen - The Incredible Hulk was on!
And they have murals on the wall:

and Riley played basketball with Grandbob:
Oh, and they had pretty darn good pizza. : )
