LIFE IN ASHEVILLE, NC IN MARCH - DAY 6

Woke up to a colder, rainy day so i was a bit depressed and we really didn't get moving at all until late, nothing much else we wanted to do anywho - so we took Maddie to the one last record store.  And this was posted on the lamp post near by:
Yes, it says, "Have you lost your Pussy?  He is currently residing at..."

Then we went to the French Broad Chocolate Shop, (I think it was called that)  all i know is that they serve liquid truffles!  Yes, i said LIQUID TRUFFLES! OMG!
Madison was in heaven! She ate nearly 6 regular truffles and finished off the liquid truffles that both Kristi and I couldn't finish.
A chocolate menu (some coffee too)

Truffles! and chocolate mousse and more truffles!

She started to paint her face all warlike.  The chocolate has gotten to her!

LIFE IN ASHEVILLE, NC IN MARCH - DAY 5

Ah!  I finally caught up while on the plane yesterday, so here goes-

Day 5:  A trip to The Biltmore Estate

It was supposed to be crappy out and it kinds started that way but the sun did peak out and it ended up being a beautiful day!  You can't take pictures inside and i thought i would be good this time and obey the rules, but i did take a few outside.  Pictures, pictures, pictures:

Wisteria

Can you imagine these gardens in full bloom?? awesome!

Tell me what's wrong with this picture?

I was so happy to see a goat!  It had been 5 days since i saw mine!

She's very pregnant too!

Cashmere goat

Then that night we went to the bar for beer and Quizo! fun!  Thank goodness Wes is so smart - he won two beer glasses and shared them with us.  Yes, one shout out question was, "What Disney movie has the characters Tod and..."
Wes: "Fox and the Hound!"   I had to even ask Maddie right now, i couldn't even remember!

LIFE IN ASHEVILLE, NC IN MARCH - DAY 4

Sunday - and we are heading out for a great breakfast at Sunny Point Cafe and then the River Arts District: a whole area of old warehouse art lofts and studios, amazing.
The breakfast was wonderful!  I had a burrito, and the best part of most of the restaurants here in Asheville is that they use mostly locally grown ingredients.  This place grows their very own in raised beds in the back of the restaurant. I know, right?

Our server - isn't she stunning?

Riley contemplating what to order

a dog customer enjoying herself on the patio

I also got some nice shots of Riley in all her beauty!

Then it was off to the River Arts District. Images speak a thousand words:
SMOKE PIGS!
More puppies at restaurants
This is Squirrel, she liked Maddie
An attempt at art that almost makes it art

Bob had to have this one

Yes, i may be in love with Asheville, whatever will I do?
